Yesterday, BlackRock's bitcoin ETF IBIT reached just under USD 10B in total assets. There are now four ETFs holding more than USD 2B worth of bitcoin and yesterday saw a new record for inflows into the 'new nine.' Despite these stellar performance stats, as FRNT CEO Stéphane Ouellette explained to Bloomberg, the ETFs are not yet fully available across trading platforms and investment advisers: "Some estimates suggest that less than 20% of investment advisers have been approved by their firms to put their clients into the product. That is a process that’s likely to play out over the course of a year.” https://lnkd.in/gmPdTb7p

BTC Squeeze Soon? 📈📉 The debut of options tied to BlackRock's IBIT Bitcoin ETF saw nearly $2 billion in notional on its first day of trading. 354,000 contracts were traded, with the majority being call options. This highlights the bullishness of the market on Bitcoin, and the new all-time highs being set by it. The new IBIT options give investors more ways to implement trading strategies such as hedging, speculating, or generating income. This can potentially increase market liquidity and transform market dynamics without having to own Bitcoin. Grayscale is set to follow in BlackRock's footsteps and will launch options trading for its Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) and Bitcoin Mini Trust (BTC). Coingecko
