In 2024, we placed students across all the NCAA divisions, NAIA, and JUCO, as well as in high schools. The largest number of student-athletes were enrolled in NCAA Division 2 (298), closely followed by NAIA (284) and NCAA Division 1 (274). That accounts for 70.6% of our class of 1,215 students enrolled. At the country level, in the DACH region, 32.5% of students were enrolled in NCAA Division 2, while the Nordic region exhibited a more balanced distribution across NCAA Divisions 1, 2, and NAIA. In contrast, the majority of students from Spain and LATAM were enrolled in NCAA Division 1 (26.2%), closely followed by NCAA Division 2 (25%). In the UK, 64.8% of student-athletes were enrolled in NCAA Divisions 1, 2, 3 and NAIA, while the remaining 35.2% were placed in JUCO programs. These numbers are quite consistent with the divisional breakdown from previous years. In the assessment phase our recruitment team is doing with prospective student-athletes, it is imperative to understand the opportunities we can (or can't) provide for a student. There are different rules in each division and parameters like sport level, budget and type of school are important. It is a match-making process after all. We spend time on this part, explaining what it takes to get to a certain school and division, so we can be on the same page as we start a college recruitment process. It starts the relationship and journey on the right path.

Post 4: No More Scholarship Limits: Expanding Opportunities for Athletes 📈 Scholarship Limits Eliminated 📈 The NCAA is set to revolutionize college sports by eliminating scholarship limits at the Division I level. Starting in the 2025-2026 season, teams will regulate their rosters through roster limits rather than scholarship caps, allowing more athletes to join collegiate teams. This change will open doors for countless aspiring athletes, offering new opportunities and expanding the scope of college sports. The anticipated court approval on September 5th will be decisive in solidifying this new approach. Understanding Oversigning in College Athletics Oversigning is an unofficial term in American college sports where athletic departments sign recruits to a National Letter of Intent (NLI) that may exceed the maximum number of scholarships allowed by the NCAA. While the NCAA limits the number of scholarships across all sports, football has additional yearly caps. This practice can lead to complex situations where not all recruits receive the promised athletic scholarship, impacting their college athletic and academic career.

We helped student-athletes to 49 US states + the District of Columbia + Canada for our Class of 2024. The only state "missing" this year was Alaska. Not that surprising, as there aren't a ton of schools in that state, and might not be on the top of the wish list for that many of our students. We do naturally listen to our students' preferences when it comes to finding an ideal school and team. Geography is for many a big factor. Places like California, Florida and New York are in the top 3 in the last few years (or probably always), as these are popular destinations - places that are "familiar" and have a very international appeal. States we send a lot of students to over the last years are Iowa, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Illinois, Kansas, Ohio, and West Virginia. In fact, during the last 3 years, we've helped 1205 international student-athletes to these states. There are a lot of schools in these states that meet the criteria and the preferences our students have. Maybe they didn't specifically ask for Texas as the state, but we have found schools where the academic piece and the sporting level/ambition fit extremely well. Discovering a vast and exciting state like Texas is then a bonus for them. I don't think the geography is what matters. The most important thing for you to thrive in a new place is the great people you will meet and the strong bonds you will make. Our students meet their lifelong friends in all these places. It doesn't matter if that is in Wyoming, Maine, New Mexico or Florida. PS: Chances are good that your new best friend in college is from Idaho and you'll be invited there every year for Thanksgiving. And you'll return the favor and invite your friend to your home country in the summer break.

Athletic scholarships. Only 2% of high school athletes go on to receive one in college, according to the NCAA. And of the ~500,000 NCAA student athletes across Divisions I, II, and III only ~195,000 (~40%) receive any form of sports scholarship. Very few of these, in fact, are full scholarships, which are mainly contained to designated "headcount" sports: 6 men's and women's NCAA Division I revenue-generating teams (think: Div I FBS football, men's and women's Div I basketball, and women's Div I gymnastics). This doesn't mean you can't receive scholarship money to participate in sports in college. But it DOES mean that you need to be realistic about that outcome, and a good place to start is by better understanding the scholarship system. I unpack this, as well as address other common questions and misconceptions about scholarships for student-athletes such as: How common are full (vs partial) scholarships? Are all college sports teams "fully funded" with scholarship $$$? And, is my athletic scholarship guaranteed for all four years? The good news is that it is possible to receive full scholarships in NCAA Division I & II (and NAIA and NJCAA levels). The bad news is that it just isn’t very common, as this chart shows. Why? The NCAA has rules that limit the number of athletic scholarships and some sports rarely, if ever, offer full scholarships.
