I hate to be “that guy” whilst most of you have been freezing your bits off back in the UK 🥶🤣… actually, I don’t mind so much 😉 This trip to Manila has hit a bit different, I had some really heartbreaking news from home, just as I landed in Manila. I’ve made the most of my time here and have been putting on a brave face (coz that’s what we do right, brave face for public, only cry in private) whilst my whole family have been going through the pain of another young man lost too soon. Because of what was happening back home I think I appreciated my time with the team in Manila even more and we packed a lot into this one! 3 x CEO vs Sales @ Golf - I won… taking little comfort in this as my boss has had 6 spine surgeries in the last 3 years and Adrian Beales has only just started playing after a long gap playing 😆 this did help keep my mind off things in the first few days. 1 x Christmas party - we do this early to avoid clashes and we had 500+ in the room, even with a typhoon warning hitting just before the event! Amazing performances from our staff, Filipino’s may be shy to start with but they are born for the stage! 1 x Management retreat - amazing views from the mountains above Manila 👀 just wow! Great to spend time with nearly 100 Frontline Accounting team members making the work of our nearly 1000 #BPO staff run smoothly! A great training session from our cofounder Jonathan Ryall on focusing in our goals 👏🏽 1 x International Accounting Conference - my first trip to Davao (south of the Philippines 🇵🇭) our CEO Mark Cottle smashed his presentation and we got rave reviews for the work Frontline Accounting is doing creating jobs in The Philippines and helping solve the #Accounting talent shortage in the #UK #Australia and #USA. Just to rub that weather in a wee bit more… I’m now sitting in a rooftop pool overlooking the city, waiting for my flight back to the UK. As an FYI, if you are trying to reach me after being away, apologies, next week will be a tough week for me starting with jet lag and ending with a funeral of a family member that I loved like a brother. I will come back to you ASAP, I promise. All the best, Mark
Deepest sympathies Mark
