Malaysia and Thailand have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing sustainable rubber production, according to Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani. Johari reaffirmed Malaysia's dedication to sustainable rubber practices during discussions with Thailand's Agriculture Minister. CMO Vietnam received FSC FM Group Certificate with two members supporting sustainable management of over 2,000 hectares of smallholder rubber Following the FSC COC Group Certificate with 7 rubber dealers (CU-COC-903980, code FSC-C205469), CMO Viet Nam LLC and 2 resource management units, Mai Vinh Rubber Co. Ltd and Viet Sing JSC, were granted CU-FM/COC-903950 group certificate, code FSC-C205429, for sustainable forest management with 274 smallholders on 2,066.60 hectares in the provinces of Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh and Binh Thuan. This is the first step to show the potential and prospects of a sustainable supply chain from small-scale producers, through the connection of group certification to a system of dealers closely linked to natural rubber processing and exporting enterprises, creating opportunities for smallholder products to access the world market and major brands.

Today, Denderwood had the honor of welcoming the Timber Exporters' Association of Malaysia (TEAM) to our facilities. The main focus of this visit was the new European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which was at the center of our discussions. Together with stakeholders in Malaysia, we are working towards a constructive partnership to ensure a smooth and effective implementation of this important regulation.
