Reopening Baltimore Port before May with new roadway & wharf. pls critique potential problems COTS CC are positioned on river bottom/seafloor starting at RORO Car Storage area near end of security fence. I propose 5 pieces of 40foot COTS CC to create a wide base (200ft wide) that has at least 1 additional layer of COTS CC bonded on top of base layer. (Bill Doyle suggested river bottom depth is only 11ft.) This COTS CC roadway can have roadway steel plates bonded as final top layer. It has been suggested to have asphalt or other final traction surfacing. Bridge debris can be used as roadway barriers until recycling makes sense. It can also have bridge debris stored inside COTS CC that are set on river bottom/seafloor. Roadway parallels beach front outside private piers until pass the Key Bridge Elevated Section that still stands. A wharf with COTS Tower Cranes (COTS TC) can unload Large and Ultra-Large Cargo Container & RORO ships initially. If this makes sense, then current COTS Cranes on SeaGrit and Dundalk Marine Terminals can be reposition outside Key Bridge and near Sparrows Point. A list of benefits has been stated before, but author thinks reduction of public endangerment should be ranked as high of a priority as reduced cost of bridge rebuilding. This opinion comes from experiencing the California Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge and other roadways failure due to earthquake during World Series Baseball Games. (Suggested COTS CC roadway)

It’s Rural Road Safety Week! One way to make rural roads safer is through enhanced delineation for horizontal curves to alert drivers of upcoming curves, the direction and sharpness of the curve, and appropriate operating speed. Potential strategies include pavement markings, retroreflective strips on sign posts, chevron signs, and more. Details here: https://loom.ly/VjRN-tw #ruralroadsafety

Channel your inner "Waterproofing Warrior" and keep your home dry. Seal vulnerable areas around sinks, tubs, and showers. Don't let tiny cracks in walls or foundations grow into bigger leaks by tackling them swiftly. It's also important to ensure proper drainage angles away from your home. With these proactive measures, you'll banish dampness and enjoy peace of mind. Looking at Overture Maps Road Surfaces. Here, I have 2 types of roads: gravel (white) and dirt (red). The labels from the Carto basemap are kind of hard to read under the layers, this is Vermont and New Hampshire. The main takeaway is that the shape of the state of Vermont, on the left, is rendered almost entirely from its large volume of gravel roads. You can see, to the right, that New Hampshire prefers dirt roads.
