One of my favorite quotes in the book says, "Without effort, your talent is nothing more than your unmet potential." Jason's talent and passion to provide an extraordinary experience to our Customers is truly exceptional. 45 years of experience shared in one hour – I was sold! Last Friday, we had the privilege of hosting James Byaruhanga, Managing Director of Roke Cloud, for an insightful session on Personal Branding. His journey shows the power of continuous growth, reminding me of why my mantra is: Learn, Unlearn, and Relearn. Enhance performance, security, and privacy is provided by Amazon Bedrock when customers utilize Claude models. Anthropic collaborated with AWS to give customers early access to do fine-tuning with their own data on Anthropic models, a benefit that AWS customers will enjoy for a period of time on new Claude models.

This is a great move that shows Amazon is serious about competing with Microsoft in this space. Now they just need to work on their AI stack. Bedrock is a fantastic foundation (no pun intended!) and I'm using it in production, but the higher-abstraction offerings like Q Business need work. Hope this will also drive down the cost of Claude inference even lower than it already is. On the Anthropic side, let’s hope this accelerates their ability to innovate on the user experience. Despite having comparable foundational models, OpenAI has been able to differentiate themselves significantly with unique features like search, voice mode, and code interpreter, the latter of which I’d argue should be table stakes by now. Anthropic, now would be a great time to introduce an amazing EDU offering that undercuts OpenAI’s pricing model! #ai #highereducation

Huge News: Anthropic is now naming AWS its primary training partner, in addition to continuing to be its primary cloud provider, and will use AWS Trainium and Inferentia chips to train and deploy its future foundation models. Additionally, Anthropic and AWS have collaborated to give AWS customers early access to the ability to do fine-tuning with their own data on Anthropic models, a customization benefit that AWS customers will uniquely enjoy for each model for a period of time on new Claude models. It's also magnificent to see our APJ ISV partners like Arcanum AI called out here as well for choosing to migrate their AI agent platform to Amazon Bedrock and using the Anthropic models as part of their solution.
