We all want to support our local economy, but sometimes we don't want to spend the extra money! But, there is good news: there are ways you can support your local economy WITHOUT spending money. Here are 3 ideas: 🧡 Show your support online: Follow local businesses on social media, share them with your followers, and leave a Google review. 🧡 Attend a (free) community event: Boosting overall attendance numbers for local events is a great way to help them secure sponsorships and funding in the future. 🧡 Bank with a credit union: Keeping your money with financial co-operatives ensures that your money will be housed at an organization that prioritizes community development.

The annual Idea Swap, an event for New England-based nonprofit cultural organizations and touring artists continues to be a profound opportunity to network and share ideas for touring projects. The Idea Swap is the primary way for the sector in New England to network and engage in person and includes informal networking and facilitated small groups to discuss project ideas, including those that may qualify for funding from NEFA’s programs. Pre- and post-event conversation and networking takes place on a digital platform, offering additional opportunities to build connections. A total of 6 grantees will be awarded $2,000 for projects related to creating healthy, active, and engaged places to live, work, and play. Work in Langhorne and Philadelphia is eligible for up to $2,200 via additional support from General Motors.
