Last year, I teamed up with Open Data Science Conference (ODSC) to share my 2024 AI predictions, and it’s been rewarding to watch them play out. Now, I’m excited to share my 2025 predictions: 1. Generative search will create a whole new market around Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). I also suspect we'll see the first GenAI ad plays next year. 2. Brands will launch Generative AI powered product selection experiences to help customers navigate complex choices and trade-offs with greater confidence. 3. The rise of agentic AI will push for more robust quality control and observability solutions. 4. Advancing multimodal AI will require serious investments in safety and risk management with many new ways to fool models (beyond text). The conversation is shifting from “what’s possible” to “how do we make it work responsibly and at scale.” 👇 Check out the full article on my predictions below. What else would you add to the list? What are you doing to invest in preparation for these opportunities?

Cal Al-Dhubaib I'm just going to add a number five to your trends and opportunities for 2025. More mainstream discussion about sustainability, environmental impacts, and AI development in 2025. 👀

Thank you, Cal Al-Dhubaib, for your continued invaluable contributions to the ODSC community!
