“To this day, what animates me in design is building things and partnering with entrepreneurs who have a vision that requires original thought and dedication,”
Yves Béhar‘s design journey bridges Swiss precision and California innovation, fueled by an entrepreneurial mindset that pushes boundaries. From early inspirations in his hometown in Switzerland to embracing Silicon Valley’s spirit of innovation, Yves has developed an approach that’s as culturally diverse as it is forward-thinking.
Thank you Solvej Schou and ArtCenter College of Design for featuring Yves Béhar Behar, Founder and CEO of fuseproject in this month’s issue of Dot Magazine!

Small businesses, especially those led by artists, are bringing a fresh wave of innovation to the market. These creators are redefining product offerings, crafting items that reflect passion, individuality, and a whole new perspective on the world.
From hand-poured resin creations to intricately designed miniatures, these businesses showcase the power of imagination. Each product tells a story, blending functionality with art in ways that mass-produced items simply can’t replicate.
What makes this movement even more exciting is how it challenges us to see the world differently—to value the time, skill, and heart poured into every piece. Artists-turned-entrepreneurs are not just offering products; they’re sharing their vision and inviting us into their world.
At Eponic, we’re proud to support these creators by providing them with high-quality materials to bring their ideas to life. Here’s to the small businesses proving that art and creativity are game-changers in today’s marketplace.

Why Steve Jobs Loved Picasso’s Simplified Bull - and What It Means
Picasso’s series of bull sketches starts detailed and ends in a few strokes - yet capturing that essence took countless hours. Steve Jobs admired this approach because it’s a metaphor for design: stripping away the non-essentials can be much harder than adding layers of complexity.
“It takes a lot of hard work to make something simple,” Jobs once said. He believed in understanding challenges at the deepest level to create elegant solutions. That idea became central to Apple’s DNA - work relentlessly to reduce an idea to its purest form, whether it’s a product interface or a company vision.
Why Simplicity Scales
- Sustainability: Complex systems can break more easily as they grow.
- Focus: By zeroing in on the core, you preserve what truly matters.
- Clarity: Teams and users alike benefit when there’s less clutter to navigate.
Next time you tackle a problem, think about Picasso’s bull. Are you chiseling away at unnecessary details to reveal a clear, powerful design? Remember, the time you spend finding that core might just be your best investment.

🙌 Along with other panelists, Hien explored and shared his experience on using creative entrepreneurship to empower communities, create sustainable solutions, and turn ideas into actions that matter.
✨ Reflecting on his journey working with impact organisation, Hien has shared how he and Project Pluto have created positive change through design-led innovation. Referring to our “Design for Growth” philosophy, 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀—it’s about using creativity to anticipate challenges and amplify impact.
🤝 Furthermore, Hien observed that most organisations have yet to communicate their impact well, while their operations rely heavily on credibility built from how well people know you. That’s where 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 to create more innovative showcasing formats and materials.

If I were Maradona, I would live like him.
Here's why:
We're just two regular guys who started doing 3D work during architecture school.
We're trying to build something meaningful. Even though architecture in Europe is in a rut.
We don't have a huge team. But people say our renders have a certain aesthetic.
No one knows how we do it. It's because each of us pulls the weight of three.
We don't have marketing and sales experts. We're figuring out marketing and sales every single day.
We adapt. We test every new trend to gain an edge.
We're guys who don't do outsourcing work for others. Although we had requests.
We have our own clients. And we push our own narrative forward.
We compete with everyone worldwide to land better projects and high-paying clients.
But we have something most of you don't.
We come from a different region. It's a part of our culture. It's who we are.
We didn't have a fairytale upbringing. Not the Western-European kind of easy.
We lived through wars and bombings as kids.
We never give up because of that early life experience.
What we create is never good enough in our eyes.
You can always do it better, is what they were taught to us from a young age.
We're building everything from zero. No one paved a path for us.
We don't have entrepreneurial parents with businesses and deep pockets.
We're working-class guys who made it thanks to education.
We're clearing our own path with that foundation.
We overcome every obstacle life throws at us.
If not today, definitely tomorrow.
They say the good stuff comes after ten years of entrepreneurship.
We're close. Bring it on.
Life is a tombola. 🤙
