Meet Allard Langenhuijsen from NoPalm Ingredients NoPalm Ingredients produce yeast-based oils and fats that serve as replacements for palm oil and other edible oils. Our process utilizes agri-food waste streams, such as potato peels, dairy by-products, or any biomass containing sugars, fatty acids, or alcohols.This biomass is fermented using specific yeast strains. After fermentation, we separate the yeast oils and fats from the biomass.These yeast oils and fats are then used as alternative ingredients in food products. Additionally, the residual biomass is reintegrated back into the value chain.
