Today iam going to share some points on the phototherapy unit which is used for newborn babies.A phototherapy unit is a medical device used primarily to treat jaundice in newborns. Jaundice is caused by an excess of bilirubin in the blood, which can lead to yellowing of the skin and eyes. Phototherapy helps break down bilirubin into a form that can be more easily eliminated by the baby's body.The light from the phototherapy unit is absorbed by the baby's skin and blood. This light changes the structure of bilirubin, making it easier for the liver to break down and excrete.
