FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University’s Post

Proud to share our article in the Journal of Graduate Medical Education describing our experience developing a GME fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard C-CHANGE, and FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University that prepares physicians to address the causes and impacts of climate change. We also report outcomes from the first 5 years of the program. The Climate and Human Health Physician Fellowship trains physicians to become leaders in climate and human health research, education, communication, and advocacy. Five fellows have enrolled in this GME climate change fellowship. Academic and public professional output rates increased after starting fellowship; 97.4% of professional output was related to climate change.
