Eyes on market... TrendMiner today acquired by Proemion of Fulda, Germany for €47m (per @realdeals.eu.com). Trendminer was put up for sale in December by Software AG's new owners (Silver Lake); it was acquired by Software AG in June 2018 for about €30M (with €5M in considerations). Proemion is new to me: founded in 1987, rec'd a €33.5 M investment from Battery Ventures in October, 2022, they have "existing analytics capabilities for critical industrial equipment, which help equipment manufacturers and operators gather machine data remotely and continuously to maximize uptime and performance." So it sounds a bit like the same idea as Software AG had in acquiring Trendminer and an IoT platform (Cumulocity IoT) in 2018. Today was an exciting day for the Embeint team with the launch of our first product (the Tauro collar). We expect the Ag community to get great value from collars with the insane detail of animal location, movement and behavioural data they can generate because they can run intelligence at ultra-low power. But for Embeint, we also see this product as a great opportunity for us to develop and test our Infuse-IoT Stack designed to help firmware engineers create intelligent, yet ultra-low power IoT solutions. We're on a mission to revolutionise how intelligence is embedded into wireless, ultra-low power smart devices. To achieve this, our first step is to streamline and accelerate the development of secure, robust, low-power, intelligent IoT firmware for developers with our Infuse-IoT Stack (to be released in September - but if you're keen for early access, please reach out).
