🌍 Today is Human Rights Day, a day to reflect on the importance of dignity, equality, and fairness for all. At Fyffes, respect for human rights is central to how we do business and engage with the people and communities that sustain our global supply chain. Our recently published 2023 Human Rights and Environment Due Diligence Report highlights the steps we’ve taken to strengthen our commitment to human rights, including: ☑️ Conducting Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIAs) across our owned farms and suppliers. ☑️ Completing Community Needs Assessments in 100% of the neighborhoods surrounding our farms in Latin America involving over 2,200 people across 50 communities in five countries to identify risks and inform mitigation strategies. ☑️ Enhancing grievance mechanisms like the Fyffes Ethics Hotline, an independently run, confidential, and anonymous platform available to all stakeholders, ensuring everyone has a voice. ☑️ Collaborating with suppliers to uphold the highest standards of fair treatment, including tackling risks like modern slavery, child labour, and discrimination in all forms. Guided by international frameworks like the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, we remain committed to transparency and continuous improvement, addressing human rights risks and creating safe, fair workplaces for all.
