Strengthening Ukraine's Dairy Industry through Collaboration! The EU Integration Committee of the Ukrainian Dairy (Elisabeth Svyatkivska, Maks Fasteyev, Arsen Didur, Vadym Chagarovsky) had a productive meeting with Jean Lanotte Counselor for Agriculture at the French Embassy in Ukraine in Kyiv on July 4th. This valuable discussion focused on the current challenges faced by the Ukrainian dairy industry and explored potential areas of collaboration with the French Embassy. Key Discussion Points: ✔ EU-Ukraine Dairy Market: The Committee strongly supports the creation of a common dairy market between Ukraine and the EU, along with the continuation of the current Autonomous Trade Measures (ATM) for dairy products. We welcome the advocacy of leading EU dairy countries like France in achieving this goal. ✔ Harmonization with EU Legislation: The Committee is committed to aligning Ukrainian dairy industry practices with EU regulations through a dedicated roadmap. We are interested in exploring potential support from French experts in developing this roadmap. Specific needs will be determined as the plan progresses, with implementation anticipated to begin in early 2025.
