𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! 🎬 Like in filmmaking, where "Action!" signals the start of execution, now is the time to ask ourselves: what’s the purpose of endless seminars, roundtable conferences, strategic sessions, summits, and brainstorming gatherings if they are not backed by real, transformative actions? Yes, we understand the place of making the public aware, and even the Holy Book says "Faith comes by hearing & hearing...". But at some point, we really have to check the motives and merits of these gatherings. (Maybe conference materials motivate some individuals though🌝) As we (Nigerians) recently celebrated Independence on October 1st, we are again reminded of the many fora around nation’s growth and development. But paying "Lip Service" without action will definitely not drive change. In the same vein, as individuals, it will also be time to halt on those "Masterclass Sprees" and action out "Take Home Lessons" from previous classes. 📝 Let’s stop the cycle of dialogue and step into action for any real change to pop! 🌠 #ActionSpeaks #deliberationtoimplementation #DoMore #MessagetoSelf #RealTransformation

If you're a pop star or a songwriter, the job description is to communicate absolute truth through your craft. If you're an executive or entrepreneur, you're also communicating truth, but the parameters are different. You have different goals for different audiences, and the best messaging will not result from revealing too much. Still, consider this TED Conferences from Kesha. Even though your medium and the process are different, the idea of exploring your topic from a new perspective can yield some captivating results.

https://lnkd.in/eYxwUZ_S Just watched an enlightening TED Talk titled 'Teach your inner critic a new story,' and it's a game-changer for anyone in a creative field. In creative projects, this shift in perspective can be revolutionary. Imagine treating your inner critic as a collaborator rather than an adversary. It's about rewriting the critic's story from one of the limitations to one of empowerment, where every critique is a stepping stone towards innovation and depth in our work. This approach doesn't just soften the blow of self-doubt but leverages it to fuel our creative journey. What of the secret to unlocking our full creative potential was learning to speak a new language with our inner critic? Let's start this conversation and see where it takes our art. #CreativeGrowth #InnerCritic #TEDTal

I've watched this TED Talk many times, and it leaves me truly inspired each time! It’s a powerful reminder of how impactful great #storytelling is, by way of 11-year-old Richard Turere's delivery. But also how #creativity, and #resilience can transform #challenges into #opportunities. #Innovation doesn’t necessarily come from big moments and mega funding - it often emerges from how we tackle everyday problems, whether at home, in the classroom, or right in our own backyard. If you need a boost of #motivation, this is a must-watch: https://lnkd.in/eEzTNTKZ"

"𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮." 💫 I really love this starting quote that Nancy Duarte uses to begin her TED Talk: "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀." In the video, she compares the structure of 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀: - I have a dream by Martin Luther King Jr - 2007 iPhone launch by Steve Jobs I've seen this video so many times, and every time I watch it, I find inspiration from my marketing tactics. 🚀 Let me share some 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 from the video on how to communicate an idea effectively. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 "𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝘀" 𝗮𝗻𝗱 "𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗲": Duarte emphasizes the importance of moving between the current reality and the potential future to engage and motivate the audience. - How can the hero (audience) achieve his goal/dream/solution? 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Duarte highlights the importance of connecting emotionally and intellectually with the audience to inspire and drive change. - Use emotions and inspire. People will never forget how you made them feel! 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆: Understanding and acknowledging the audience's struggles and aspirations are crucial in crafting a message that resonates. - Identify the audience's fears, doubts, and needs. Go deep into the hearts of the audience. 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: The ultimate goal is to lead the audience toward a significant change, whether in thought, attitude, or action. - Ta-da! Moment 🎉 Have you seen the video? What are your thoughts?

Thoughtful reflections by Michael Ashford on how to navigate through these times.
Peter T. Coleman, Columbia professor and author of the book The Way Out, How to Overcome Toxic Polarization, told me that when we go into conversations over hot-button issues and agree to have nuanced, deep, perhaps even uncomfortable dialogue, studies have found that the participants actually come out of those conversations more firm in their own beliefs. The difference is that they no longer see “the other side” as an enemy to be crushed, as an opinion completely void of any and all truth, as a threat to their very way of life. And that’s where solutions to big problems can actually take shape. So then the question becomes: What are you afraid of? https://lnkd.in/eT_fsATA
