The US government has embraced AI to enhance public services and operations. Having recognized AI’s potential, the administration has launched a strategic goal to hire 500 AI specialists by 2025. As part of this effort, the government is moving to skills-based hiring rather than traditional educational prerequisites. This approach aims to attract top talent with practical AI skills, ensuring that the federal workforce is equipped to meet the fast moving demands of AI implementation and policy development. As part of its AI initiatives, the federal Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) has been established with the mission to oversee data, analytics, and AI across the government, from policy to adoption. The US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is also giving guidance on how to use generative AI in the workplace, and what to avoid when using this emerging technology. #ai #artificialintelligence #federalgovernment #hiring #publicsector https://lnkd.in/ei8kFyGz https://lnkd.in/e3XjjbhG
