Stop focusing on ROI but on VOI If you are struggling to retain your best staff. Most employers will not invest in an employee wellness program if the company does not see an obvious return on investment(ROI). Yea, I totally get it, but this could be the reason why most #corporatewellness or #employeewellness programs experience low engagement/participation rates. Because employees can sense it when a wellness program was not intentionally designed to add value to them. On the flip side, if you focus on VOI-(Value on investment), your primary focus is the value of the wellness program first on your employee's overall health and wellbeing. A VOI-Based program is intended to optimize your employees' health and well-being. Ultimately, if your workers are physically and mentally healthy, they will perform optimally and contribute towards your company's revenue and growth. An employee wellness program that is VOI-focused will have a higher participation and engagement rate because workers can clearly see the benefit. A wellness program can be a valuable investment in your organization, leading to improved productivity, reduced absenteeism, and enhanced job satisfaction. The Power of a Wellness Strategy 🌱 A wellness strategy is a structured approach to enhancing employee health, engagement, and productivity through intentional policies and programs. It goes beyond perks; it’s a holistic plan to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of every team member. Why is this important? A strong wellness strategy: ★ Reduces absenteeism by promoting a healthier work environment, leading to fewer sick days and improved attendance. ★ Boosts employee satisfaction as employees feel valued, supported, and more motivated to contribute their best. ★ Enhances retention by creating a positive workplace culture, reducing turnover and retaining top talent. ★ Investing in employee wellness isn’t just about feeling good – it’s about creating a thriving work environment where both individuals and organizations excel. 🌟 As Nelson Mandela said, "It always seems impossible until it's done." Crafting a wellness strategy may feel challenging at first, but with commitment, it’s achievable and transformative. 💬 How does wellness fit into your company’s vision? #WellnessStrategy #EmployeeWellbeing #CorporateCulture #Leadership #HR #EmployeeEngagement Eve Mutio Jane Mutisya Paul Ngugi Newton Siele CHRP (K) Quresha® Ahmed, (CHRA)® Fiona Nyambura
