One of the first leadership principle I remember learning about is The Peter Principle. According to Dr. Peter, in any corporate structure, employees tend to rise to ranks where they are not competent. Avoid "Petering Out", by continuously looking for opportunities to upgrade your skills. If you're unsure of the skills needed to get you there, it may be time to invest in Executive Coaching and Leadership Development. DM to start the conversation. https://lnkd.in/gxjkGXbZ

On enquiring what makes him the strong leader he is today, he shares his belief with us, “A leader who produces followers limits his success to what his direct, personal influence touches. His success ends when he no longer leads. However, a leader who produces other leaders multiplies his influence, and he and his people have a future. His organization continues to build and grow even if he is personally unable to carry on his leadership role.” Over the years, he has created leaders at every level within his organizations. He signs off, “I believe that is the only legacy I need. I want to be remembered as a leader who creates leaders.” more: https://lnkd.in/gZzVSs9c #Leader #leadershipcoach

Leadership is a process in which an individual influences the behavior and attitudes of other people. Leading by example helps other people see what lies ahead and act swiftly to counter any challenges along the way. One of the responsibilities of a leader is to inspire other people to do the best that they can do for the benefit of the organization. To achieve this, the leader must show them the way by getting involved in the process – leading by example. For example, "a CEO may discourage unnecessary spending among employees to improve the business revenues. However, if the CEO changes his office furniture frequently, the employees will not take him seriously, and they will continue with the spending. But if the CEO stops unnecessary expenditure in his own office and works toward maximizing revenues, the employees will often follow suit." Leaders use the following ways to lead by example and inspire their followers: (c) https://lnkd.in/deB29Dfb #leaders #leadership #management #teammembers #employees #organization #coaches #lead #leadexample #manager
