🌟 Life is a Hackathon! 🌟 This morning, I had the privilege of attending an incredible session at Startup Boston Week 2024 on "From Ideation to Innovation: The Value of Hackathons in Collective Creativity." Although the early timing meant a smaller crowd, it felt like we had a private session with four dynamic speakers who shared invaluable insights, experiences, and advice! ⚡️ Claude Arnell Milhouse shared his journey from an active Hackathon participant to a venture investor supporting Hackathon projects. His statement, "Life is a hackathon," truly resonated with me—especially paired with his sage advice to "be curious, question everything." 🙌 His stylish hat only added to the coolness factor! ⚙️ Jessica Woyton impressed us all with stories from her engineering work, both professionally and back in school. 💡 ian Naval broke down the entire Hackathon process at their company—from introduction to follow-up—providing an excellent roadmap for anyone looking to organize a successful event. They showed that Hackathons are not just about the event itself but the lasting impact and learning that follows. 🎯 Kim Magidhi made an important point: Not all projects that come out of Hackathons are fully developed solutions—some are just ideas. But even those sparks of creativity can lead to breakthroughs, especially in industries like biotech where brainstorming and ideation are key! While the crowd was small, the value of this session was immense. It felt like an intimate, deep-dive conversation where we could connect more personally with the speakers. Sometimes, the best learning experiences come when you least expect them!
