The rise of novel, semi-synthetic 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) products 👉 Key Takeaway: The kratom industry must differentiate itself from these potent semi-synthetic derivatives to avoid undue regulatory backlash and ensure consumer safety. Policymakers need clear distinctions between traditional kratom products and these high-risk, laboratory-synthesized formulations. https://lnkd.in/ebM85upG

A tech-y post for Friday: Reynolds number for the IDDSI flow test was modelled by Marco Ramaioli's lab using a series of equations approximating the flow of Non-Newtonian starch-thickened water. They published this last month: https://lnkd.in/eSC7Se63 Reynolds number worked out to be below 0.001 for thick liquids, and up to a max. of 360 for the thinnest liquids. So in all cases: no turbulence within the flow test.
