I recently connected with customers, strategic partners and other leaders at Bloomberg Tech 2024 where we had a chance to discuss digital transformation, assured connectivity, trust, security, and AI. It was great to see Bas Burger, CEO of BT Group Business.  On stage, he discussed #GlobalFabric and shed light on the staggering number of cyber attacks targeting the top network providers like BT…>100 attempts made on every single device daily—a number that is only set to rise with the advent of AI threats. Jeanie York, CTO of Virgin Media O2, emphasized customers' desire for seamless connectivity on 5G networks, aligning with Juniper Networks' mission to "Make Every Connection Count." A major highlight was hearing from John Jumper, Director at Google DeepMind and the recent winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on artificial intelligence to predict the structures of proteins.  John discussed that, through the application of AI, AlphaFold reduced the time to conduct fundamental experiments from “1 year to 5 minutes”.   This is clearly game changing but also an early indication of the tectonic shifts that are coming with AI.  Thank you to the Bloomberg team for a great event that underscored the growing importance of secure and assured networks in an AI-driven world. #BloombergTech #TechLondon #AINative #BT #VirginMedia #CyberSecurity #AI
