🌈✨ Today, I finished a basic course on Transgender Issues and even completed the viva (oral exam)! 💪🏽📝 I learned so much about the problems and challenges faced by transgender people. We are calling on the Government to listen to trans young people and to rethink their approach to the exclusionary and unhelpful draft guidance on trans students for England. A new report from Lambda Legal, Unicorn Solutions LLC, Children's Rights, and Center for the Study of Social Policy, "Safe Havens II," underscores the importance of accountability to ensure the safety and well-being of transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse (TNGD) youth by centering the voices of 7 TNGD youth contributors with lived experience in out-of-home systems. The report serves as a crucial roadmap for policymakers and allies, features data on current policy and challenges for TNGD youth in out-of-home systems, as well as the experiences of and solutions from the youth contributors.
