❓Are rules there for fairness? Or Are rules there to uphold unfair systems?❓ Rethink what you know, and what action will you take?: Did you know that the Football Association banned women from playing football when the men returned from war? The women were bl**dy brilliant at it 💖, and the fans loved it, with 53k in attendance and 15k turned away at the gates. Their excellence was seen as a threat 💣to the men. So they banned women's football. When you see systems, policies and laws in place, question their fairness and their role in equality and equity. Question the narrative you're told. Break from the past. The journey for this girl's team to win football means challenging policies, processes and rules. We must do better for the next generation, supporting those challenging the system and being the change ourselves. When it comes to children's football, the role of a captain is sometimes just given to the 'best player', or maybe the most vocal kid, without too much thought. We know many coaches and teams give it a lot of consideration, and it is a big deal within their team. And that's definitely a good thing. Allowing different children to take on the responsibilities of being a captain in a football team can have numerous benefits for both the individual child and the team as a whole. 𝘼𝙣 𝙪𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣’𝙨 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙪𝙥 ⤵️ Following the proposed amendment to the Women's Football Pyramid League Rules, the Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA is taking part in an FA Pilot for the 2024/25 season to better align the women’s pyramid and County Cups. As a result, the Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA Women’s Senior Cup competition will start slightly later this season, with first-round fixtures set to take place in January 2025. The pilot aims to support leagues in the women’s pyramid whilst protecting the role of County Cup Competitions within the women’s game. By taking part in this pilot, we want to ensure the Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA Women’s Senior Cup competition continues to play a significant role in developing the women’s game, providing opportunities for clubs and players to compete for silverware on a regional level. Together with the Football Association, we will continue to monitor the impact of these changes in future seasons.

One of the unique selling points of Kaela Football Clubs Youth Development model was giving the players a grade at the end of each quarter or bi-annually.
