Violence has slowly but surely become ingrained in the foundations of our society. Any statistic from any survey tells us the same but we have gone from denying it, calling it fake news to now accepting it but still choosing to ignore it. The result? Our children are learning the same. This experiment, though conducted in 1961, tells us how the cycle of violence continues over generations. And how media in itself can impact the aggression present in children. Do let me know what you think about the BOBO doll Experiment. And make sure so subscribe! #sociallearningtheory #bobodollexperiment https://lnkd.in/dYbEfAwS

On this International Day Against Violence and Bullying at school, it is critical to recognise that every student, regardless of their abilities, deserves a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment. By continuing to raise awareness, provide training, and implement policies that specifically protect students with disabilities, schools in NSW and beyond can create an environment where all students are empowered to thrive, free from violence, bullying, or discrimination. https://lnkd.in/g8C_Jarg #InternationalDayAgainstViolenceAndBullyingAtSchool

#MyFeeedomDay What do you know about Human Trafficking and how it is a global issue (even in places where we believe it's not happening)? Could you recognize if your children/students were being coerced? What games are being used to target your children? Are there children in your neighborhood, schools, religious meeting places, etc., who are victims? Thank you to Veronica McDaniel who has been a leader in this effort not only at Atlanta International School, but globally. Her ability to let the students lead over the years went from a local spark to a CNN initiative. This is an example of how we all can facilitate our students TO DO. Today was such an impactful student lead day with a myriad of activities used to teach our students, staff, and parents. Special Thanks to all of the students of AISAHT (AIS Against Human Trafficking) and the staff volunteers who help them, Freest-Forming Responsive Engaged and Educated Students-an organization dedicated to engaging students in fighting against human trafficking, Camila Zolfaghari who led an amazing session for parents on how to protect our students from traffickers who are now targeting their emotional and developmental vulnerabilities through social media and gaming, as both a parent and a leader there was so much to unpack. Lynda Kinkade and all of the CNN crew who came and spent the day to capture our student leaders at work. This is one of the various examples of how we reinforce our mission to "Develop courageous leaders who shape their world for the better." I'm excited to share a recent blog post that highlights a promising approach to tackling bullying in primary schools. This article discusses how viewing bullying as a collective issue, rather than just a personal one, can significantly reduce its incidence among young students. By fostering a supportive community and encouraging collaborative efforts, we can create a safer and more inclusive environment for our children. To learn more about this important topic and how we can make a difference, read the full post here: https://ift.tt/k8iFQHu.

The aim of the campaign is clear: to raise awareness, empower communities, and spark vital conversations about child exploitation. By encouraging everyone to spot the signs and speak out, we can work together to identify and address instances of abuse effectively. National Child Exploitation Awareness Day serves as a poignant reminder of the ongoing challenges we face in protecting our most vulnerable members of society. It calls upon us to adopt a zero-tolerance stance towards any form of exploitation or abuse. At Ride For Freedom, we are committed to being part of the solution. We invite you to join us in this important conversation, to lend your support, and to extend your helping hands towards creating a safer world for our children. Through our Ride For Freedom Schools Programme, we highlight the crucial role of education in preventing child exploitation. By educating students about their rights, boundaries, and how to seek help, we empower them to recognise and resist exploitation. Education is key to breaking the cycle of abuse, and we're proud to play our part in promoting it within schools. #NationalChildExploitationDay #RideForFreedom #EndModernSlavery #spotthesigns #protectourchildren #ceaday #childexploitationawareness #speakout #saferworld #knowlwedgeispower #raiseyourvoice #empowercommunities

Gun violence in schools is not just a statistic; it's a crisis that touches every corner of our communities. Since Columbine in 1999, over 338,000 students have experienced this terror. This staggering number shows that this isn't just an isolated problem—it's a national emergency. Community First was founded to provide a solution to this urgent issue. We believe our children should be able to attend school without fear, knowing they are protected within their school walls. It's about more than just safety measures; it's about fostering a community where children can thrive without the shadow of violence. Together, we can create a future where no student has to face the fear of violence at school. Let’s unite to build a safer, brighter future for our children.
