learnings from Lupin Pharmaceuticals long back when I joined Lupin..I was the only marketing executive in UPWest Ghaziabad Region A fresh MBA, with not so great experience with first job and landed in Lupin sales pharma division The initial few days were like meeting GP's, Physicians covering small hospitals and thereby promoting the portfolio of Anti TB drugs. I was under the impression that meeting the clinicians and communicating the products to them is enough but then there is a whole world outside the clinician chamber where I need to prove my worth. Meeting them is just half the job done ✅ I got exposed to the realities while retailing at each counter, and finally meeting the local distributor at end of day. After a couple of months,I feel like this is not what I am supposed to do and feels dejected and clueless here comes my mentor my #manager who taught me #philipkotler real lessons of the trade....I call it tricks of the trade. #basics never get outdated ! 1. Never meet any of the clinicians without doing proper retailing, and that means doing it every time without fail. 2. Brands should not only be detailed but also to be disucsesed inside chamber 3. Ask or demand a prescription. 4.Make sure everyone inside the doctor's medical counter knows you well. 5. Morning is for completing the calls and evening to meet retailers and important counters of your area. 6. Don't be a puppet of a local distributor.Make sure your secondary should define your primary order. 7. Plan well and have uniformity in ordering process. Don't rely on single distributor 8.
