This is my 1,798th post! Photography has always been a passion of mine, and this platform is such a meaningful way for me to share that creative outlet. I’m also thrilled to know there are others in our bronchiectasis community who share this love of photography. I can’t wait to feature them and their incredible work in the future. That said, my favorite photograph of all time wasn’t taken by me. It’s a heartwarming shot of bronchi-sister Glenda’s grandson. Several Christmases ago, he received a toy drill as a gift, but having watched his grandma nebulize so often, he thought it was his very own nebulizer💚💜❤️ Moments like this remind us that living with bronchiectasis is a family affair. Rather than feeling ashamed of a condition that requires us to clear mucus multiple times a day, we can embrace the hidden lessons our disease offers. It teaches our children and grandchildren that life isn’t always perfect, but when challenges arise, we adapt and do what we can to thrive. If that’s not a life lesson worth celebrating, I don’t know what is! How has 2024 treated you? For me, it’s been an … interesting year. Coming off of the Thanksgiving celebration, and preparing for the December month of holidays, when I saw this article, I was happy to take the visual tour from Associated Press. In part to see how AP’s summary and mine would compare… In this catalog, I found A LOT of dynamics that spanned the globe! Some positive, and some of dire moments of suffering.
