The National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) released updated guidelines on July 8, 2024, focusing on the stability testing of cosmetics. These guidelines are crucial for manufacturers seeking to enter the Chinese market, aligning with the “Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Regulation” and the “Cosmetics Safety Evaluation Technical Guidelines (2021 Edition).” Mandatory Stability Testing: Cosmetic manufacturers must now conduct comprehensive stability tests, including influencing factor tests, accelerated tests, and long-term tests, to ensure product quality and safety throughout its shelf life. Documentation & Compliance: Detailed test reports and stability evaluation results must be included in the registration dossier. This documentation is essential for demonstrating that your product maintains its intended quality under specified storage conditions. Compliance with these guidelines is mandatory for successful product registration and market access in China. Without adherence, your cosmetic products cannot be legally sold or distributed in the region. Ensuring product stability is not just about regulatory compliance—it’s about maintaining high standards of quality and consumer safety. Safeguarding Consumer Well-being: Malaysia's Robust Cosmetic Regulations Malaysia prioritizes consumer safety through a comprehensive regulatory framework for cosmetic products. The Control of Drugs and Cosmetic Regulations (CDCR) 1984, established under the Sale of Drugs Act 1952, lays the groundwork for this oversight. Malaysia adopted the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD) in 2008 to ensure regional consistency and harmonise standards. This directive mandates a notification process, requiring all cosmetic products to be registered with the Director of Pharmaceutical Services (DPS) before entering the Malaysian market. Benefits of a Robust Regulatory System: • Enhanced Consumer Confidence: Consumers can have greater peace of mind knowing that the cosmetics they purchase have undergone thorough safety assessments and meet established quality standards. • Fair Market Practices: Regulations create a level playing field for businesses by ensuring everyone meets the same safety requirements. • Improved Product Quality: Manufacturers are incentivized to invest in quality ingredients and production processes to comply with regulations. By implementing a rigorous regulatory framework, Malaysia fosters a safe environment for consumers and promotes the responsible development and marketing of cosmetic products. For hassle-free, advice and further information, we at Novavita are delighted to assist your company! #NPRA #MOH #regulatoryaffairs #regulatoryupdate #guideline #regulations #malaysia #standard #international #consultant https://lnkd.in/gHNuCPuW

To import and sell cosmetics in Thailand, FDA certification must be obtained and Thai labels must be affixed in accordance with regulations. Most businesses will use intermediaries to help them complete FDA registration. Nowadays, due to the increasing number of businesses that need to register with the FDA, the FDA registration market is chaotic, and some cheap intermediaries claim that they can complete FDA registration in a short period of time. But in fact, they are not professional and do not complete the registration according to the normal process. Even the registered products face post-audits, high risks of a series of problems such as import and sales, and may even be seized by customs. https://wix.to/gmGP3Pa #thailandfda #cosmeticfda
