GCCRC - Genomics for Climate Change Research Center’s Post

GCCRC - Genomics for Climate Change Research Center reposted this

This week, I had the pleasure of participating as a speaker at the "From Gene to Trait 2024" course, an annual event organized by GCCRC - Genomics for Climate Change Research Center ,a collaboration between UNICAMP and EMBRAPA. During the event, I presented the pliman package and the plimanshiny app -tools I've been developing for high-throughput plant phenotyping. The program was exceptional, and I was particularly thrilled to personally meet researchers who have been key references and inspirations in this field. This event was a great opportunity to expand my professional network and align potential research partnerships with a shared goal: to develop genotypes more resilient to climate change, aiming to enhance food security in Brazil. #PlantBreeding #Genomics #HighThroughputPhenotyping #Research #Innovation #ClimateChangeResilience #FoodSecurity #Networking

This year the event was even better thanks to people like you and Filipe Matias. Two brazilian researchers that are sharing all the knowledge with the academy community and are a pride for our country. Both of you has revolutionized the phenotyping in the world and I admire a lot your contribution. It was an honor for us to hear you speak.
