⭐️ Back at it with #RJThursday! 🔍Today we are taking a look at what the Restorative Justice process can look like from the lens of youthful offending and community resolution. 💡We challenge you to watch this clip and reflect on the following questions: • How did this story affect you? • Would you feel like you received justice if this happened to you? • What would it be like if you were in the place of the person who caused harm? • What would it be like if you were in the place of the person who had been harmed? • Do you think justice was served?

By focusing on rebuilding rather than retribution, restorative justice can make all of us safer. It's time to create a system that serves everyone, prioritizing the needs of those most affected by harm, past and present, and promoting meaningful accountability. Our #RestorativeJustice team is at the 9th National Conference on Community and Restorative Justice right now working on that challenge. #nacrj

In the work we do in schools, systems, and communities to support people to understand and embrace restorative practices, we are often asked what is restorative justice? What is accountability? We often respond with "there is no one definition." This video is a panel of people involved with criminal systems-involved youth in Minnesota discussing the power of restorative justice and/or practices. Despite there being no one shared definition, each of these people talks about relationship, community, and healing. Check it out!
