Hello everyone, I am excited to share that I recently participated in my second hackathon, "Syntax Error 2024." During this event, I developed an online coding test website for IIT Roorkee. The platform includes features such as online coding rounds conducted by companies, interview options for selected candidates, and access to previous years' questions asked by companies. To enhance its functionality, I plan to add a feature that automatically adds test questions to a practice problem page once the test is over, promoting continuous learning. I used Next.js for both the front-end and back-end, and Codeium to rectify my code, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This idea was inspired by a conversation with my senior about how companies conduct online coding rounds, particularly using platforms like HackerRank. This sparked the idea to create a personalized online coding test platform that could be used for university and remote hiring. The platform features a robust proctoring system to prevent cheating, ensuring the integrity of the testing process. While I have successfully completed this project but I have to fix few issues, my ultimate goal is for it to be adopted by the Placement and Internship Cell (PIC) and the students of our college for internship and placement processes. I would greatly appreciate any feedback or suggestions you might have. #Hackathon #Coding #WebDevelopment #NextJS #IITRoorkee #OnlineTesting #Innovation #Placement #Internship Feel free to adjust it further to fit your style!

There's something profoundly meaningful about those moments when dedication meets opportunity. Today, I'm humbled to share that I participating as #Maverick along with Mudasser Rasool secured the 2nd position nationally in the University of California, Berkeley's CALICO competitive coding competition! 🏆 The journey of mastering algorithms and data structures has been more than just a pursuit of technical excellence—it's been a quest to understand the fundamental patterns that govern both computation and problem-solving. Each algorithm I've learned has been like discovering a new lens through which to view the world's complexities. The competition presented us with 11 challenging problems, and within the intense 3-hour window, I managed to solve 7 problems plus a bonus question. But here's the thing about true passion—it doesn't end when the clock does. After the competition, I remained glued to my workspace, determined to optimize my solutions and tackle the remaining problems solving 11 out of 11 given. There's something deeply satisfying about pushing beyond the formal constraints and pursuing excellence for its own sake. For those interested in the technical details, I've documented all my solutions, including the optimized versions and test cases, in a GitHub repository: https://lnkd.in/dDMQ-j3p I hope this can serve as a learning resource for others embarking on their competitive programming journey. This achievement, while deeply personal, stands on the shoulders of giants. The remarkable mentors at iCodeGuru, who first opened my eyes to the beautiful world of competitive programming deserve more credit than I can express. From the very first day, Sir Zafar Shahid, PhD's emphasis on the importance of LeetCode style questions and Coding Competitions like these is the reason why I started taking competitions like these seriously. The countless hours spent dissecting problems, optimizing solutions, and learning from failures have taught me that excellence isn't just about the destination—it's about the transformation that occurs during the journey. CALICO wasn't just a competition; it was a testament to the belief that with proper guidance, dedication, and a community that supports your growth, you can achieve things that once seemed beyond reach. As I reflect on this milestone, I'm reminded that each challenge we face in programming, as in life, is an opportunity to grow, to learn, and to push beyond our perceived limitations. This is just the beginning of a longer journey in the vast landscape of computer science and problem-solving. Onwards and upwards! 🚀 #CompetitiveProgramming #UCBerkeley #CALICO #DataStructures #Algorithms #ProblemSolving #iCodeGuru #PersonalGrowth #TechnicalExcellence #OpenSource

🚀 #Day7 & #Day8 of #100DaysOfCode: Conquering Knapsack Problems and Beyond 🚀 The past two days have been intense and immensely productive on my #100DaysOfCode journey! 💪 I've been diving deep into both dynamic programming and greedy algorithms, focusing on various knapsack problems. From 0/1 knapsack to fractional knapsack, each problem has provided unique challenges and learning opportunities. Here's a quick rundown of the knapsack variants I've tackled: - 🧳 0/1 Knapsack - ♾️ Unbounded Knapsack - 📦 Bounded Knapsack - 📐 1D Knapsack - 🔀 Multi-Choice Knapsack - 📊 Variable Knapsack - ⚖️ Fractional Knapsack In addition to these, I'm still working on a tough Longest Common Subsequence (LCS) problem. Every challenge I face is a step towards becoming a more proficient problem solver. 🎯 Key Highlights: - Solved various knapsack problems, enhancing my understanding of both dynamic programming and greedy algorithms. - Learned to approach and solve complex problems efficiently. - Continued efforts on a challenging LCS problem, pushing my limits further. I'm also thrilled to share that tomorrow I have an online assessment round for an intern position at AlgoUniversity. I'm incredibly excited about this opportunity and look forward to showcasing my skills! Excited to keep pushing forward and sharing my progress. Let’s stay connected and inspire each other in our coding adventures! #TechJourney #CareerGrowth #CodingLife #DSA #KnapsackProblems #DynamicProgramming #GreedyAlgorithms #InterviewPrep #100DaysOfCode #ProblemSolving #TechCommunity #LinkedInTech #AlgoUniversity

Brisbane Beginner Coding Collective held our fortnightly coffee catch-up yesterday, and it was fantastic. We dived into some interesting discussions, from Dave Farley's Modern Software Engineering to James Clear's Atomic Habits 📚. We also tackled a couple of practice interview coding problems. For those looking to improve their problem-solving skillset, Mark mentioned an alternative to Leetcode called Edabit, which is more beginner-friendly. With the success of the interview questions segment, we're keen to start building a new event around problem-solving. The event will focus on one or more Leetcode styled questions, and we will break this down as a group. Moreover, we're planning to attend other events as a group, from hackathons, to tech talks in the future. If you want to be part of this excitement, join us below or reach our directly: LinkedIn Group: https://lnkd.in/gr5h9B8T Facebook Group: https://lnkd.in/g45-spjw Instagram: https://lnkd.in/gvx4Xyrb As always, big thanks to everyone who makes the effort to come out each fortnight 😊 #BrisbaneBeginnerCoderCollective #beginnercoders #techcommunity #codinginterviewprep #leetcode #edabit #modernsoftwareengineering #AtomicHabits #hackathon #programming #softwaredevelopment #community
