If I had a collection of partners that have contributed $0 to my topline, here's what I would do: 1) Not blame them Too often companies sign up loads of partnerships in the name of growth and them blame them for "not bringing us any deals" but never look inwardly. It's never your partner's fault. Take some accountability of the fact that you haven't given them a reason to bring you deals and go from there. 2) ID one or two potential all stars If you have many partnerships and none of them are contributing to revenue, then you have too many. Take a good look at the partnerships you've already established and evaluate which ones, if they were properly committed to, would be most value accretive to you both - not just your organization. If none stick out, then search for others. 3) Create a plan from scratch Whatever "plan" you had before wasn't working, so it's time to scrap it and start anew. The plan should include clear value for both you and your partner and include not just the firm to firm value, but the individual contributors as well. This plan should include a unique offer to the market, 6-12 months marketing agenda, and a commitment of 1-3 existing clients each partner can bring the offer to today - at a minimum. 4) Ask them for feedback By building this plan you are saying "I thought about how our businesses can make money together. Here's what I came up with". It's useless if they don't agree, so approach to get their feedback (and get them excited). Believe it or not, it's likely rare for them to have a partner approach them with a concrete plan built for them without having to lift a finger. Talk about value first. Then with their feedback you can tweak and adjust to get them truly excited. 5) Obtain commitment on execution Now we're almost off to the races. Keep in mind that even with the best of plans, that they contributed to, it might not be the highest priority. Your options are making it better to make it a priority, or try with another partner. Altogether, this consistent proactivity is how you build successful partnerships with other businesses to truly propel each other forward and grow together. TLDR: Deals aren't going to fall from the sky just because you signed up some partners. You have to put in the work to grow together. #strategicpartnerships #valuefirst ---- ♻ Repost or share if you agree 👇 Let me know in the comments if you don't!

Are You Missing Out on No-Cost Growth Opportunities? 🛠️ Theme: Strategic Partnerships Sub-theme: Shared Resources Too many businesses overlook partnerships as a cost-free growth opportunity, missing out on shared resources that benefit both sides. Case Study: A small landscaping firm partnered with a property management company, gaining direct access to a new customer base and increasing revenue by 30%. Tip: Identify complementary businesses that could expand your reach and reduce costs. Partnership doesn’t have to cost—it can multiply value. Ask: Which businesses in your network could offer win-win resource-sharing partnerships?

People ask me if NIA is like other business networking brands..... The ONLY thing in common with other brands is industry lanes... one residential realtor per group, one payroll services provider. In every other way, NIA stands apart. This week I hosted 3 meetings for 3 groups. Two were in Memphis and one National/Virtual one. I do what I always do... read the room and see what my members and guests need that meeting. Though each of the meetings ended up working differently, the CONVERSATION never stopped in any one of them. Actual conversation with people exchanging ideas, affirming shared ideas, and providing insights from personal experience and knowledge. I simply asked questions here and there to bring in another example or to draw out someone's relevant perspective. As a result, everyone gets to make their own assessment of the other folks' personality, wisdom, experience, and even credibility. That is a good start to building true relationships that can stand the test of time and result in lots of shared introductions. Before they even have a one2one meeting, each pairing will already have a good start on establishing a real understanding of each other. How great is that?!?! I'm sad for anyone who missed out! I guess that is why NIA is the fastest growing business networking franchise in the recent Entrepreneur 500 list. If you are interested in having the brand in your city, as a certified franchise consultant, I can help with that. #networking #trust #relationships #networkinaction Network in Action (NIA) - Memphis & Virtual

Businesses stuck in a feast and famine cycle are characterized by flourishing periods of business followed by times when sales are quite low. Small businesses in particular, are more susceptible to these problems as they're yet to build a large pool of repeat customers. Most businesses are stuck in a feast-or-famine cycle. Here's why: They chase any client with a pulse and a budget. A curated roster of premium, loyal clients? It is worth 10x more than a revolving door of one-off projects. Master these 3 secrets: 1. Niche down aggressively 2. Solve problems, don't just fulfill requests 3. Build strategic partnerships, not just client lists Stop pitching. Start positioning.

One thing I’ve always believed in is the power of partnerships. The right partner can make all the difference in business or life. In marketing, it’s no different. I’ve seen companies that treat their marketing team like just another vendor, and then I’ve seen companies that embrace their marketing partner as a true extension of their team. Guess which one tends to have better results? When you build strong partnerships, you’re not just buying a service — you’re gaining insight, trust, and a shared commitment to success. That’s the foundation we’ve built Impression Point on, and it’s what we strive for with every client. If you want to learn more about how meaningful partnerships can move the needle, I recently shared my thoughts on building successful business partnerships here: https://lnkd.in/gt6Bw-_w
