Manikam Ramaswami is among the best leaders I have come across in life and who's influence have been profound and life changing. Humility, clarity and courage are among the qualities we experienced in his leadership. His poweress and fortitude in cutting through argument, debate or doubt and offer a solution that everybody can understand, including those in the authority (Govt), was a rare sight you see in life. Our CMD was a futuristic leader in its truest sense, who chose to empower others, inspired others to dream more, do more, and become more. He was a leader not so much in words but in attitude and in actions. He had his "heart" in the business and the "business" in his heart. Listening to the inspiring stories shared by his friends, professionals who worked with him and the leaders for whom our CMD was an inspiration is something I always look forward to with reverence and respect. From all of my interactions and experiences to date, I have come to strongly believe that the purpose of leadership is to instill in their people a hope for success and produce more leaders, not more followers.
