Split nights 😴 Nothing like your little one waking up in the middle of the night and refusing to go back to sleep for hours each and every night! 😬 This is common so do not fret. Most babies split nights are after midnight and normally mean baby waking happily, not wanting anything but chatting away to themselves for up to 2 hours. 🥴 How do you fix these split nights? The key is to check your babies nap firstly. Are they sleeping to much in the day so they are not tired enough? Or are they sleeping too little so they are in sleep debt and struggling to remain asleep over night. ❓ If you are sure the naps are spot on ✅ than next thing is to check the environment. Is the tempature dropping in babies room around the time of night making them wake as they are cold? Or perhaps they are getting to hot and the tempature needs to be reduced. If both these things are correct and you are still struggling than drop me a message so I can check the valve for you and offer you more specific guidance. www.bfsleepconsultant.com 🩵🩷 #sleepconsultant #budgetconsultant #bf #sleeptraining #bfsleepconsultant #splitnight #splitnights #waking #midnightwaking #yourbestfriendinbabysleep #sleepdebt #mumandbaby #dadandbaby #certifiedsleepconsultant #certified #smallbusiness #supportsmallbusiness #yourbudget #sleepisanecessity #sleeplikeababy #dmme #reachout #explore

Everyone deserves the right to sleep, and I’m here to support that! Honestly, short naps are a REAL problem. Here’s why: Short naps prevent deep, restorative daytime sleep, leaving us with grumpy, overtired babies on the verge of meltdowns. Short naps lead to night wakings and early mornings, creating a cycle that feels completely overwhelming. Short naps can trap us at home with an overtired and grumpy baby, always just minutes away from their next nap. Short naps drive parents crazy! We obsess over baby sleep, chart every nap, avoid leaving the house to fix “the schedule,” and try to replicate that one day when naps were perfect. Let’s work together to break the cycle and get the rest we all need! This busy festive time, remember: 🎄 You don't need to wake your sleeping baby just because a friend or relative wants to hold him 🎄 Your baby's sleep may look a little different as they encounter new people, events, places 🎄 A nap is a nap whenever it may be - on you, on grandma, in the car, on the living room floor 🎄 Babies, especially newborns, don't need silence during the day to nap so try not to stress about finding quiet spots (unless that works best for your family!) 🎄 Keep following Safe Sleep Guidelines no matter what Aunt Mildred says about how they or you slept "when we were young" 🎄 Supporting your baby to sleep is NOT a bad habit 🎄 Your little one may need more connection time to calm down for sleep after busy days of new experiences and people! 🎄 Waking 1-3x a night ynsed 18 months is still ok! Your baby doesn't "need" to be "sleeping through" just because Uncle Toby said so... 🎄 Your baby isn't regressing! They're PROGRESSING constantly! #ringsling #ahauntedhouse #contactnapper #contactnap #contactnaps #holisticsleepcoach #infantreflux #mentalhealth #colic #breastfeedingcounselor #parents #supportingparents #newbornsupport #newbornsleep #infantfeedingspecialist #newbornbaby #babyproducts #sleepassociations #newbornroutine #babydevelopment #babyled #professionalnewborncare #newborncarespecialist https://lnkd.in/e6m7eHjm

A consistent waking time helps reinforce your baby's circadian rhythm and adds structure to their day. ⏰💫 So yes, sometimes you need to wake up your little one. 🛏️ Co-Sleeping 101. 🛏️ ❤️ Part 1 The How to Do it Safely ❤️ Do you co-sleep by choice? 9 out of 10 of us have co-slept with our babies/children at one point. 🛏️ Some of us do it by choice and wanting to enjoy those snuggles whilst we can! Many cultures co-sleep more than they solo sleep. So when I started my certification I always wanted to be respectful of that and not ignore those parents/care givers who do it by choice. Co sleeping has so many benefits if you are happy to do it and are doing it safely. It's a rewarding experience, creating a moment in time that can last a lifetime when they are older as you reflect on your Co-Sleeping experience. Safety first: ⭐ Keep pillows and adult bedding away from your baby or any other items that could cover their head or cause them to overheat. ⭐ Remove slatted / decorated headboards. ⭐ Do not bring other children or pets into bed with you. ⭐ Check that baby cannot be trapped in the bedframe or headboard, wedged or fall out of bed or get trapped between the mattress and the wall. ⭐ Depending on babies age don't leave them alone in an adult bed. The above is all backed by the lullaby trust and further information can be found on their website. If you are wishing to continue your Co-Sleeping journey but want some help with getting your little one to go to sleep or facing other sleep related issues please look at my Lumi Package on my website: www.bfsleepconsultant.com Remember Co-Sleeping should be a choice and if you feel it's become forced or you have no alternative wait till post 2 on how I can get your bed back to yourself 🩵🩷 #cosleeping #co-sleeping #sleep #babysleep #sleepconsultant #certified #bfsleepconsultant #sleepyhead #pillowtalk #betternightsleep #sleepytime #moonandback #nature #familybound #lifetime #motherandbaby #fatherandbaby #caregiver #yourbestfriend #bestfriendinbabysleep #familybed #familybedroom #safetyfirst #lullaby #lullabytrust #lullabytrustcharity

The Moro Reflex is an automatic response newborn babies show when they become startled. The Moro Reflex can be extending their arms, throwing their head back and extending their legs but can differ among babies. You may have noticed that your baby is sleeping soundly when all of a sudden their arm jerks and wakes them up. Once a baby's necks can start supporting the weight of their head they typically start experiencing less moro reflexes, usually around 4 months. The moro reflex is a normal reaction in healthy babies and you should not be concerned if you see these responses. Swaddles and sleep sacks are a great way to calm to moro reflex. Dreamland Baby has a line of incredible weighted swaddles and sleep sacks.
