I recently started dabbling with #GenerativeAI chatbots in my "spare time", and found myself wondering: Has anyone tried creating yet a "#Jewish / #Chassidic" #LargeLanguageModel, trained on the immense corpus of deeply intellectual/philosophical/mystical Chassidic discourses and talks, as well as responsa/correspondence often containing practical life-advice and emotional support? Although I didn't find any such LLMs yet, I did come across a few fascinating articles by Rabbi Yehuda Shurpin of Chabad.org, including this one posted by Roy Wonder Cohen. I'm hopefully not THAT heretical that I would seek to actually "replace" Rabbis with AI. But I can imagine that such a chatbot might potentially serve as a valuable "academic" learning-aid (to be taken with a huge grain of kosher salt!) for the interested student. And BTW: Although I too would like to think that "AI cannot replicate the depth of human connection required for spiritual counseling and support", at least in the fullest sense — I must admit that I am seriously impressed by Inflection AI's Pi.ai chatbot, which claims to be "The first emotionally intelligent AI." I welcome your thoughts and comments.
