We have over 120 nominations! 🎉 Our judges are working hard right now, and we couldn’t be more grateful to all of them, to you for nominating, and to everyone supporting the 3rd edition of the GEN NZ Awards. After much consideration and based on your feedback, the Trustees Board and Advisors have decided to withdraw as nominees to give others in the community the opportunity to be recognised and celebrated. But we still want to show them some love and appreciation, right? Let’s share some 💚 for Dave Moskovitz, Pascale Hyboud-Peron, Katherine Blaney, Nick Larsen, Tereska Lepionka-Carroll, Rosanne Ellis, Irene Hao, Alex Veiga, Heidi Williams, Jonathan Ortmans, Terence Hikawai-Goodall, Lea-Ann de Maxton, Pauli Sosa ✨ and Suse Reynolds for all their hard work in bringing the ecosystem together. Stay tuned—finalists will be announced soon! 🏆 See you on the 21st of November in Wellington? We still have some tickets available! 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/g9wnHZxR

Well that will be us up there on the short list for best integrated campaign 👊 from the world renowned and prestigious The Drum Awards As part of our marketing transformation, 12 months ago we set ourselves an ambition to get some marketing swagger (aka a hefty gold embellishment for our newly installed and ambitiously big trophy cabinet). Not for the party (don’t get me wrong we like a party) but as recognition from industry gurus, creative pundits, marketing maestros that our work is as good as our customers (and our stats) say. Team… whether we win or not on the night it doesn’t matter. What matters is we are on our way and this recognition is the fuel we need for our onward journey. But for now “Cheers to us all’ 👏 #HiveHeros #WeveGotYourBack #BrilliantWork #MarketingSwagger

Do those who pay to be featured on lists or highlighted in special issues also believe in participation trophies? Why should I pay someone to publish me? Why would I want to pay to be on a list? It’s hard to take seriously those who claim to be the best in the business, yet pay a media company to boost their reputation. Is there even a legitimate list that truly recognizes the excellence of some of these partners? Here’s to the real superheroes in our partner community—the ones who earn their accolades without buying them.

Still Thinking of Entering? There's Still Time! There is still plenty of time to submit a knockout entry into the 2024 Event Awards. Past entrants have reported needing only a couple of hours to pull together their entry...don't forget - you've already done all the thinking, designed and delivered the event or achievement - all you have to do is put it into words and tell us about it! With the new, simplified entry form, with a maximum of 2,600 words, it's easier than ever to enter. Tell the Judges about you event or achievement, what did you achieve, what were the complexities, how was it creative and an asset to the industry, what were your challenges? If you start today, that's only 434 words a day to get to the finish line! https://lnkd.in/g8P-s-NG

Happy Monday! A week or so ago, I was judging the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards. Now the tables have turned, as I started this week by finalising my submissions for the 2024 ROAR Awards. When I first started my business, the idea of entering business awards made me feel ick. But now I see the value of entering them. They're definitely a great way to review the ups and downs I've had in my business. Do you enter business awards? #businessawards #businessowner
