Ready to bring sustainable ideas to life? 🌱💡   The ZVEI e. V. is presenting this year's #eSummit on May 16 and 17. This is the most important congress of the electrical and digital industry. Under the motto “The future is electric”, not only familiar faces from politics, but also representatives from business and science are expected.   But why is it so essential to have speakers from all these areas for a discussion about the opportunities and current challenges facing our industry?   Because it takes a united effort to realistically implement #electrifyingideas. 🤝 For example, to realize the future vision of the #AllElectricSociety — a society where all energy is generated from renewable resources and then converted into electricity — a seamless collaboration and holistic thinking across Industry, Mobility, Energy, Infrastructure and Agriculture is required. 🏭🚗⚡🏙️🚜   Whether the aim is to strengthen Europe as a business location or to think ahead in terms of global politics, an electric future must be thought through in a strategic and socially sustainable way. From trade policy and technological progress to digital work skills, there will be numerous inspiring talks and panel discussions.   In addition, established companies as well as newcomers pitch their innovations and solutions that take into account the efficient use of energy and resources and are intended to benefit society. Live at Kosmos Berlin, Robert Habeck will then hand out the Electrifying-Ideas-Award. 🏅   As a member of the ZVEI Executive Board, I am keeping my fingers crossed for all participants and am eagerly awaiting the winner yet again this year. 🤞😊 It is important to create incentives of this kind to keep the conversation going on this important topic and, of course, to move from talk to action!   With the support of many partners, concentrated expertise as well as years of experience in the industry, I would like to draw attention to the fact that great, sustainable ideas are not too far-fetched, but tangible! 🤜🤛 🚀   #sustainability #HARTING

Next week the ULTIMATE Water EU project is live at the Ecsite - European network of science centres and museums pre-conference workshop 'Making Waves' organised by the #CIRSEAU cluster. Join us on 📅 05 June 🕰 09:30 to 18:00 CEST in Ljubljana, Slovenia! We are very proud to engage with the participants with our Immersive Media Experience (IMX) developed for the ULTIMATE case study in Kalundborg, Denmark. They can experience the installation to grasp the possibilities and necessity of a Water-Smart Industrial Symbiosis (WSIS). This means water and wastewater both play a key role as a reusable resource in industry. In the specific IMX installation developed for the Kalundborg case study, a portable floor surface of 3x2 meters and an AR infographics section is implemented with a map of a fictional city with industrial areas. The goal of this installation is to showcase what the case study is doing and how it impacts WSIS through both a gaming element and infographics. “The visitors can scan markers on embedded in the floor highlighting water activities and will experience graphical information of the city in an interactive and engaging way’’ explains Andrew Perkis, lead at the developing working group at Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU). ‘’They can also enter an “Escape Room”, where the solutions to exit build on adding new industries and reducing water requested from the industry as well as reducing wastewater.” 💡Don’t miss out on this innovative and educational experience! Creating synergies in „Blue“ sectors - INNO2MARE presented at the Brainstorming Session on Digital Transformation in the Maritime Sector Representatives of the University of Rijeka (UNIRI) have taken active part in the brainstorming session, focusing on challenges and opportunities related to the integration of advanced digital technologies into maritime operations. The maritime industry experts, stakeholders, and innovators discussed strategies for digital transformation in the maritime sector. The session served as a platform to exchange ideas, identify challenges, and explore key aspects such as Sustainable Solutions, Innovation Gaps, and Practical Applications. Participants emphasized the importance of fostering an ecosystem where technology, sustainability, and collaboration converge to address critical environmental and operational challenges. This interactive session underscored the role of digital transformation as a driver of progress in the maritime sector. In line with INNO2MARE objectives, UNIRI has in particular emphasized cross-border collaboration between research institutions, public entities, and private companies to accelerate innovation of maritime ecosystems, as well as the capacity building as adequate skills are critical for a successful R&D and implementation of new technologies. The brainstorming was organized within the framework of the INNOVAMARE Project, a cross-border initiative between Croatia and Italy aimed at developing innovative marine technologies. INNOVAMARE focuses on advancing underwater robotics and sensor systems while establishing platforms like the Digital Innovation Hub and Living Lab in the Adriatic Sea to enable testing and validation of new technologies.
