Three Tips to answer the common interview question, 'Why are you interested in this position/company?' Align with the Company’s Values & Mission Research the company’s mission, values, and culture, and explain how they resonate with you. For example, “I’m inspired by your commitment to sustainability and innovation, and I’d love to contribute to a company that’s making a positive impact.” Connect Your Skills to the Role Explain how your skills and experience make you a great fit for the position. For instance, “With my background in data analysis and project management, I believe I can help drive the success of your upcoming initiatives.” Show Your Long-Term Interest Demonstrate that you see this role as part of your career journey, not just a short-term job. For example, “I’m excited about the opportunities for growth here and am eager to develop my career with a company that values continuous learning.” Tailoring your answer shows genuine interest and helps you stand out! #InterviewPrep #CareerAdvice #JobSearchTips #InterviewQuestions #Recruitment

You're not failing; you're collecting data. Before walking into an interview, ask yourself what you can gain from the process besides a job offer. (This is why pushing for proper feedback from a hiring manager is so important). You are not going to be successful in every process. But you will be successful in future ones if you take the good and the bad and learn from them. Don't only aim for a job offer. Aim for more experience: 🔹Interviewing 🔹Selling your skillset 🔹Practicing resilience 🔹Negotiating what your skills are worth 🔹Identifying valuable skills in the market 🔹Understanding different company cultures 🔹Evaluating different development opportunities 🔹Saying ''No'' to things that don't align with your goals and values. Then you'll end up exactly where you want to be. #Recruitment #InboundTalent #JobSearchTips #InterviewTips

I've heard it all from hiring managers. 🔓 Here's how to crack the interview code from a recruiter's point of view! The difference between a "meh" candidate and a fantastic one? Often, it's surprisingly simple. Here's what I've learned works: 🌊 Show Your Adaptability: Just last week, during an interview, a candidate mentioned how they turned a setback into a successful marketing analytics project. Companies love that kind of resilience and practical examples 💪 👨💻 Demonstrate your transferable skills: One of my candidates landed a brand new job in a completely different industry because they highlighted several practical examples where in their current job, they applied the same skillset to achieve relatable goals. 🕺 Don't hide your personality: I once had a candidate who not only knew the company inside and out (They had prepared extensively) but also shared a real anecdote about when they interacted with the company's product and how relevant it was to their life, showing passion and excitement about this. And also remember, interviews are a two-way street. You're evaluating the company just as much as they're evaluating you. So show up prepared, be yourself, and be curious, asking interesting and relevant questions. #JobSearchTips #CareerAdvice #InterviewFeedback

“Why should we hire you?” How do you handle this interview question? = In other words “𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘺?” There are no wrong answers to this question. But you need to be 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜, 𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛, and 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. It’s worth beginning by showing your awareness of the 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 and the 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲. -> What is needed -> What challenges they face -> What areas they are developing/expanding Then we can ask ourselves, “how will I be able to add value in some of these areas?” It’s worth asking ourselves what is valuable about our background: 🖊 Industry experience 🖊 Skills you have developed 🖊 Familiarity with certain processes 🖊 Familiarity with a country/a market 🖊 Major contributions you have made 🗝 Then you can use your (unique) professional background to highlight the value you can add. ** How do you approach this kind of interview question? *** Hi, I’m Ryan 👋 I help finance and data professionals communicate confidently in English and advance in their careers. #ExcelwithRyan #CorporateFinance #InvestmentBanking #DataScience

You are getting interviews, but haven't passed the final interview. Getting the job offer may come down to one thing: It's not your accomplishments on paper. If you have got to a final interview: -> The hiring team already know about your technical skills. -> They are well aware of your accomplishments. But when you're competing with another equally qualified candidate in the final round, what could give you the edge? Try this approach: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗮 𝗦𝗪𝗢𝗧 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀: Strengths: Identify what the company excels at and how you can contribute. Weaknesses: Understand their pain points and how you can address them. Opportunities: Research potential areas for growth where you can add value. Threats: Be aware of the challenges they face and how you can help mitigate them. Here's a recent case study we developed for a data analyst focusing on the HR domain. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 - 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗔𝗠𝗣 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝘀 - Comprehensive employee dataset 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 - Developing a predictive model using machine learning to forecast employee engagement trends. Did the hiring team buy into the idea? No - They have other ongoing projects that need attention. Did my client get the job? Yes, with a 30% salary increase. Here's the thing: -> It's not about finding an accurate solution to impress a hiring team. Show your intent! The final decision often comes down to small margins. Show that you are willing to add 1% more value. #jobsearch #interviewtips #careeradvice #SWOTAnalysis #interviewcoaching ------------------------------------------------------ P.S. Have you ever tried this approach? What was your experience?

Don't be like the 99% of people that answer this job interview question poorly... So in your answer you've: ✅ Demonstrated that you are up to date on current trends, market dynamics, regulations, and any big news events ✅ Identified the primary challenges facing the industry (e.g. technological disruptions, limitations of scientific knowledge, staffing shortages, regulatory hurdles, competition, global events, etc.) ✅ Prioritized and contextualized these challenges based on their significance and relevance to the specific organization you're interviewing with But you've failed to: ❌ Provide insights or solutions, such as potential strategies to mitigate these challenges within the context of the company, or better yet, your role within the company So don't forget: 1️⃣ Identify the problem 2️⃣ Propose a solution to the problem 3️⃣ Review your job offer - you're hired! (ok, well I suppose that last one assumes that you've aced the rest of the interview, your credentials align with their needs, potential team dynamics and fit are met, yadda yadda, but keep following #successinscience and you will gather more tips on how to land your next career opportunity) -------------------------------------------------------------- #interviewprep #jobinterview #interviewtips #interviewquestions #mockinterview #STEMinterview
