Great article from MIT Technology Review on how a Seattle industrial facility is recycling nutrients from human and livestock fecal waste so that it can be used as agriculture fertilizer. The facility uses the Varcor system, which is owned by our platform company Generate Upcycle and designed by Sedron Technologies. As the article explains, humans have a long history of making fertilizer from our fecal matter. Now, fertilizer is in short supply, and this technology is providing a vital resource to US farmers while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We are proud to support this important (albeit a bit unsavory) work! Read the article: https://lnkd.in/gqs6SZgb

While promising, the success of these technologies depends on skilled workforce availability and supportive regulatory frameworks. Great to see agricultural innovations at work!
