TVPI is a measure of fund success that many VCs consider extremely important. IRR, MOIC, DPI and TVPI are all used by VCs. Personally, I use all these metrics to establish the profitability of a fund.

As you may have heard, Quant's managers have recently been put under investigation by SEBI: what does this mean for investors? Quant mutual fund house has been put under investigation by sebi, under the accusation of its managers engaging in front running, which puts investors at a discovery, especially when it comes to potential gains. Quant mutual fund has shown tremendous potential as an investment fund, as its AUM has rapidly grown from 233 Cr in 2020 to over 80k Cr today. However, before gaining clarity on this situation; what is front running? Front running is when a fund manager executes trades for themslves before executing client transactions; a serious offence which does not serve investor interests. This is not the first time a mutual fund house has been accused of front running; axis mutual fund had also been investigated, which led to the banning of 21 entities from the market.   Quant Mutual Fund investors are advised to remain invested and continue investing if they are investing in the SIP mode," said Pankaj Mathpal, Founder & CEO at Optima Money Managers (source: mint) While there is no clear outcome yet, one thing is clear; investor money is safe. Quant MF has high quality holdings, and SEBI's priority is to safeguard investor wealth. Even so, it is essential for investments to be executed out AFTER research.
