With Astro feeding systems from United Components AB and our HRC gripper, your parts get the perfect start to their journey through the production line. 🦾 This innovative system is divided into two independent units, each managing one part type at a time. Parts are initially poured into custom-made hoppers that feed a circular top, crafted in a 5-axis machining center and mounted on a vibrator drive. Once the desired orientation of the part is achieved, it is transferred to a linear feeder, also mounted on a vibrator drive. The linear feeder is equipped with sensors to monitor the flow of parts and relieve any pressure from queuing. At the end of the feeder, the parts are separated individually and placed ready for removal, customized to meet the customer’s specific requirements. To ensure flawless testing, United Components used a Doosan Robotics M0617 collaborative robot equipped with our HRC-03 collaborative gripper. This setup allowed the robot to continuously move parts back into the hoppers, enabling uninterrupted testing without any stops.
