🌟 Sharing My Journey with Felix Scholarship 🌟 Hi everyone! I'm thrilled to share a video I made on my YouTube channel about the Felix Scholarship, a prestigious and fully-funded program for international students from India and other developing countries to study at top universities in the UK. Every year, 20 scholars are awarded this scholarship to study at one of these renowned universities: University of Oxford University of Reading SOAS University of London 💡 Why I Made This Video: When I was applying for the Felix Scholarship, I eventually received valuable help and insights from alumni who shared their experiences, application strategies, and tips on writing compelling personal statements. Their guidance made a big difference in refining my approach and understanding the process. However, before receiving their support, I had to figure out a lot on my own. At the time, there was little to no information or videos available online about this scholarship, let alone for my specific course. This is why I made this video—to ensure that beginners who come after me won’t have to struggle like I did. The video is designed to provide aspiring applicants with a better starting point, along with tips and guidance to make the application process clearer and more accessible. It covers essential aspects like crafting a standout personal statement and effectively preparing for the interview process. 📌 Key Features of the Video: Detailed information about the scholarship—including the universities it is offered at, the eligible courses, and the demographics it supports (e.g., students from India and other developing countries) Eligibility criteria and conditions for applying Insights into the stipend and financial support provided Bonus: A vibrant comments section where I’ve addressed many common queries 🎥 https://lnkd.in/dPZxrhw9 💬 What’s Next? I'm planning a Q&A video soon to address more questions and share updated insights. Meanwhile, I’d love for you to: Watch the video and explore the comments Share this post within your community to help it reach more aspiring scholars Let’s create a ripple effect of knowledge and opportunities! 🌍 I made the video in Hindi because I noticed a lack of quality content in Hindi about studying abroad with scholarships. My goal was to ensure that underprivileged individuals and Hindi-speaking audiences are not left out of this vital information. To make the video accessible to a wider audience, I have also included English subtitles. 💬 Join the Conversation: Your feedback and support mean the world to me. Let me know in the comments if you found this helpful, if you have more questions I can address, or if you’d like to share your own experiences with the Felix Scholarship to inspire others. 🙌 #FelixScholarship #StudyAbroad #ScholarshipsForIndians #FullyFundedScholarships #HigherEducationUK #InternationalStudents #StudyInUK #OpportunitiesForAll #EducationFunding #HindiContent

Overcoming Academic Challenges During My Journey in Istanbul💪🏽 As my time at Halic University draws closer to an end, I have been reflecting on the challenges and lessons this semester has brought. Being an exchange student is truly a mix of excitement and growth, but it also comes with its unique hurdles. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing my coursework and projects at UNILAG while staying on top of my academic responsibilities here. I will be heading back to UNILAG soon to write exams, which has added an extra layer of responsibility to my schedule. That is why I am especially grateful that UNILAG classes have been online this semester—it is allowed me to join lectures that don’t clash with my schedule at Haliç. This flexibility has made it possible to stay connected and up-to-date with my studies back home. (Maybe they made the semester online for me, who knows?😅🤡) Another interesting aspect has been the language barrier in some classes. Many courses are taught in English, but there are moments when lecturers feel more comfortable switching to Turkish, especially in classes with a majority of Turkish students. I have learned that students who gain admission into Turkish universities often spend a year learning Turkish and pass a certification exam before diving into their coursework. As a semester-long exchange student, I did not go through this process, which has made things a bit more challenging. Despite these challenges, this journey has been an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and adapt. From engaging in interactive classes to meeting peers from all over the world, and even embracing the cultural richness of Istanbul, every moment has been worth it. This experience has reminded me that growth often happens outside our comfort zones. I am excited to take all these lessons and memories with me as I continue my academic and personal journey. #ErasmusExperience #IstanbulAdventures #AcademicGrowth #StudentLife

Being an international student isn't easy. From navigating a new language to forming connections with classmates and professors, and taking assignments, exams, and quizzes… the journey can be demanding. Often, it feels like I need to invest extra time/effort just to keep in track. There are times when I find myself dedicating more attention to lectures, and sometimes just studying in my native language, Portuguese, because I couldn't understand in class. But even with these challenges, there are moments of immense pride and joy. Today, I received my highest grade in Chemistry (could be better but I forgot to answer one question). It's a testament to the dedication and perseverance that define my journey. Celebrating these small victories is integral to staying motivated and feeling accomplished. As an international student, every milestone achieved is a testament to the resilience and adaptability that define our experiences. Here's to embracing the journey, one small victory at a time. #nursingstudent #internationalstudent #futurenursing

Learners in our partners' online programs benefit from enriching curriculums from U.S. universities and the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in cross-cultural experiences without leaving home. Expert faculty from throughout Latin America and India lead our transnational classrooms, which are filled with a huge diversity of students not typically found in a physical university classroom. This prepares students for the globalized world, equipping them with intercultural competencies to serve them throughout their careers. And this all begins with the faculty members bridging cultural differences and localizing their courses every day. As Sibia Botello, Faculty Team Lead at AVENU, shares: "When Cicero spoke of universitas in the sense of a whole, perhaps he never imagined that it would be possible to have such a rich cultural exchange as our students enjoy interacting with peers and professors from at least 19 countries in which we offer our academic services. As Cicero said, to be a university student means to be a universal man (universum), to be part of the whole of all things. Today, more than ever, being a university student implies being a universal man. That is precisely the kind of experience that our students and professors share in our diverse and multicultural classrooms." Stay tuned to hear more first-hand experiences from our staff and faculty members on cross-cultural teaching and localizing curriculum to best serve our partners' students. #TransnationalEducation #OnlineLearning #HigherEd #CrossCulturalEducation

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 #𝗛𝗞𝗨𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗳𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 - 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮𝘁🎓💚 🌟 Semiat Ayeni (BASc 2024), originally from Lagos, Nigeria, moved to Hong Kong after graduating from the African Science Academy in Ghana. She is a recipient of the ‘Hon Ping Entrance Scholarship for Nigerian Students’, receiving full support for her studies of Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a minor in mathematics. 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮𝘁 💬: “Many from my background aren’t able to sponsor themselves to study abroad. Without the scholarship, I wouldn’t have been able to come to HK – it was a stepping stone for me to see beyond ... giving me an opportunity to do my best ... and give back to others” 🌏 An enthusiastic, kind, and outgoing individual, Semiat enjoys exploring different cultures and learning Mandarin in her spare time. She has always been an active member in the HKU community; she served as the financial secretary in HKU Muslim Student Association and was an active HKU Student Ambassadors team, eventually earning a rewarding trip to Malaysia in 2024. 🌱 With plans to stay in HK after graduation, Semiat is excited to continue her journey of growth and discovery. Happy Graduation Semiat! 🎓 𝗤: 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆? 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮𝘁 💬: Compared to before [uni], I’ve become more outgoing, confident, and ‘louder’. I attribute this personal growth to the exposure I gained through interacting with people from different backgrounds and being placed in situations where confidence is needed. This growth generally has empowered me to freely express my opinions and take up leadership positions such as serving as the Financial Secretary of MSAHKU (Muslim Students Association HKU). 𝗤: 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗞𝗨-𝗲𝗿𝘀? 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮𝘁 💬: Make sure to set clear goals for yourself and make sure to do the best you can so you don't regret. Also, it's okay to feel stressed...just don't ever give up. 𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂? 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮𝘁 💬: Over the years, I genuinely enjoyed studying mathematics and so I looked forward to a similar experience in uni. However, my journey with maths in uni did not go as expected. The calculator reminds me that regardless of my experiences with mathematics, it will still always be an integral part of me. #HKU #HKUAlumni #香港大學 #港大 #HKUNewGrads #Classof2024 #HKUClassof2024 The University of Hong Kong
