Theater Alliance was so pleased to join Booz Allen Hamilton at The Anthem for their Booz Allen Excellence Awards! The talented team of Theater Alliance artists and youth "brought the magic" to the evening of WOW led by Natalie Ade, Kari Merkel, and team. Arts organizations get asked to perform at these kind of events all the time - and as an artistic leader, we get asked to make those decisions. For me, the question always comes down to #values. Does the organization align with our values of integrity, diversity, and excellence? Does the organization value artists? Does the organization live their values? With #BoozAllenHamilton, the answer was a resounding YES. Even in the first conversation about the event, we didn't talk about what they needed or how to make all their dreams come true on a tiny budget. Instead, we talked about what they believe in and what we believe in - we talked about the WHY of our organizations. That is what makes a great collaboration and I'm grateful! #values #integrity #diversity #excellence
I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible achievements of my colleagues who received nominations and awards at this year's #BoozAllen Excellence Awards. It was an honor to recognize the teams who deliver excellence each day, bringing innovative solutions to the most urgent needs of our clients and our communities. We have the most amazing people, and I am so proud to work with them and empower people to change the world. Thank you to Rob Silverman and everyone who made this year's event a success. And congratulations to all our winners and nominees!

“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗶 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 ‘𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗲𝘀’ 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 ‘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀’; 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲. 𝗔𝘀 𝘄𝗲’𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗲, 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀.” – 𝘉𝘦𝘯 𝘏𝘰𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘻, “𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘋𝘰 𝘐𝘴 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘈𝘳𝘦” This quote sparked a realization at Fourvenues: our 12 values needed a change. After reading this book, we saw that the values we had were no longer being practiced in our daily work, as the company now faces different circumstances. Values can’t just be a list of nice-sounding phrases to post on LinkedIn—they need to reflect who we are and the behaviors we want to cultivate in our team. So, we decided to rethink and rebuild. We held a workshop with our managers, inviting them to read the book and co-create a set of cultural principles that genuinely represented us. The result was something we called “Fourvalues”—four guiding virtues that are not just beliefs but actions that define us every day. Here they are: 🌆 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲 🤝 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 🎭 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗼 𝗢𝗻 💃 𝗪𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 Curious about what they mean? Stay tuned—I’ll be diving into each one over the next two weeks.
New values, same vision – brought to life by our amazing team! Watch as our employees try to guess the meaning behind their names. 🚀✨

✨ Celebrating Excellence... or Perception? ✨ Awards are always a highlight in our industry - a time to recognise innovation, hard work, and dedication to raising the bar. 🏆 But it also sparks an important reflection: Are we celebrating the real stories of achievement or the most polished narratives? In an industry where trust, integrity, and accuracy are critical, it’s vital to ensure that recognition aligns with authentic representation. Missteps or misrepresentations, however unintentional, risk undermining the incredible work many of us pour our hearts into daily. Perhaps it's time for all of us—whether as nominees, award-givers, or industry professionals—to ask the deeper question: Are we rewarding what looks good or what truly is good? 🌟 Kudos to those who keep pushing the standards higher, not just for their organizations but for the industry as a whole. Let’s continue striving for recognition built on a foundation of genuine accomplishment. What are your thoughts on how we maintain integrity in celebrating excellence? Let’s discuss below! 👇
