We launched 13Z's global playtest about a week ago. 20,000+ players have downloaded the game and more than 50 kind folks made videos and livestreams of 13Z without request. A large portion of the playtesters converted to wishlists. Over 80% of the feedback respondents gave us a 4/5 or 5/5 rating. Amidst the small 'win', I know we still have a lot of work to do. 1. We need to revamp our graphics to dispel the bias that we are a gacha game as players have feedbacked that at first glance, we look like a famous F2P game which immediately shouts 'gacha'. This means we may turn some PC players off from the get go. 2. This playtest is just a vertical slice of what we have to offer in future builds. The roguelike system at this moment is serviceable, but we have something much more sophisticated and interesting cooking in the kitchen! 3. Lyra the Fox captivated play testers with her fox transformation, suave moves and lightning quick swordplay. A multiplayer game mode with more playable characters are coming up over the next few months. Project 9 of 10: Yoru Portfolio Website Wow, we are already on project 9. Time flies lmao.. This week's project is a portfolio website for Yoru. Yoru is a video game character from the Valorant video game. Valorant is 5v5 character-based tactical first-person shooter (FPS) developed by Riot Games .Valorant is by far my favorite game of all time, and Yoru was among the first characters I started playing when I new to the game. I FAILED and LEARNED from it.🧐 I joined a 48h game jam and started making a game for it and it was going great, and few hours before the ending of game jam it was all panic moment. The game jam's submission time was 9:30 PM and I completed my game around 9:35 PM and I was unable to submit the game because I was late. It was all because I procrastinated and thought that I have enough time to complete the game but I was too wrong. So, I learned that there should be no procrastination in game jams and you think you have time but you don't and you should have buffer time so things do not get messy and there will be no panic moments. Keeping these in mind I will try to complete the next game jam that I join. Still uploaded the game to itch.io fell free to play, remember it is just a game made for game jam so it is not to good and buggy. My own way of generating cliffs procedurally using Scriptable tools and Geometry Script on UE5. The cliffs are simple, doesn't look real. But it's no problem because the tool is for game development. Complicated polygon assets like Megascans are hard to use for parkour action games. That's why I made the tool. No need to do complicated colission detection, and trying and error is much easier. Foliage on the cliffs and rocks around them are generated automatically by PCG. #UnrealEngine5 #UE5 #GameDev #IndieDev #ゲーム制作
