CEO @ Genletics | Building THE Circadian Rhythm company in Sports and Health

‘Does chronotype affect performance in rowing-specific and non-specific tasks?’ This is a wonderful dissection of a research paper by the science of rowing ⏱️Main findings: Morning types were faster by 4.8 seconds, evening types faster by 2 seconds over 2000m in the morning and evening, respectively. 🗓️Practical applications: 1) Consider individual chronotypes when building a schedule 2) Offer 1-2 sessions/week at different times 3) Group athletes according to chronotype 4) Allow athletes to choose their own time 5) Consider maturity status I love this ‘leave no stone unturned’ approach in considering an athlete’s natural rhythm. It builds a strong, empathetic bond between coaches and athletes, built on a firm understanding of an athlete’s unique biology to enhance their perfomance Our approach at Genletics taps into the circadian rhythm and can define a narrower performance window for each athlete, ensuring their body is ready for maximal output DM to book an intro call to find out how our approach can help you understand your athlete’s biological time for enhanced performance
