Once AI succeeds and is able to do all the things that the human brain can do. Then that includes, as a special case, the process of inventing stuff. So doing scientific and technological research, it's one of the things the human brain can do. And so when I I can do everything the human brain can do, it can also then do the inventing and the discovery and the design and engineering. And if, as I believe is the case, that shortly after we have machines that can do everything that the human brain can do, we will have machines that can do it much better and much faster than we face a kind of obsolescence in the intellectual space. And in particular, I think we can expect to see a dramatic increase in the rate of technological progress at that point when when the progress is being driven by these superintelligences.
