A continuation of the #CEGAS (https://lnkd.in/gkRW9N3K) event sponsored by #Marshall_University for many years, and an annual focus on local, regional, and Agency geotechnical innovation, practice, awareness. We have attended several times as representatives of RaDAR monitoring instrumentation businesses (GroundProbe, and IDS GeoRadar) and continue to advocate for active monitoring using traditional in-situ sensors, and now we can say new tradition active monitoring instruments. Affordability of tools, materials, and the innovative application of these and engineering practices applied to ongoing #geohazards allows for an expansion and regional application of potentially inter-connected #geohazards, and #Geotechnical_Assets populated databases and reference monitoring environments. GeoE3 strengthens the better availability of location data in Europe! Ended in February, the GeoE3 project offered a significant input for digitalisation in Europe. The project responded to the need to improve cross-border cooperation in monitoring various environmental phenomena, including acidification and forest loss. The project focused on certain development areas such as the solar energy potential, energy efficiency in buildings, and the opportunities offered by the development of smart cities and electric vehicle infrastructures. GeoE3 showed how 3D building data can be used to assess energy efficiency. In addition, it strengthened the integration of geospatial and statistical data.
