#IPEM | Last September, CEO and Founder of Ardian Dominique Senequier joined the 9th addition of the IPEM in Paris for a discussion with Matthew Gwyther on Ardian's 10-year anniversary, the macroeconomic environment and its impact on the industry. Dominique reflected on how the firm's resilience has been tested amidst significant economic upheavals, from the financial crisis to the challenges posed by the pandemic, and now growing inflation. Yet, during this period, Ardian's AUM has more than quadrupled from 36 billion to 160 billion, propelled by diversification and leveraging market opportunity. This figure is comparable to the previous year, indicating stability despite a 45.9% decrease in the number of fundraisings, signalling a trend towards consolidation 🌍 Private equity led the charge, comprising 52.9% of the capital raised, reflecting resilient deal activity despite challenges in exits and distributions.
