Happy to announce the launch of a new product offering - KETOS PRISM today! Our goal in launching KETOS PRISM is to reduce time to environmental insights from months and days to minutes. We're doing all of the critical leg work - environmental data sourcing, cleaning and aggregating - while you can focus on the insights that are most useful to you. As part of the KETOS PRISM launch, we are releasing 1. A detailed report containing KETOS' original research on tap water PFAS risk in the US. A tool that we named PFaaS - PFAS Proximity Finder as a Service - that takes all of the insights from our PFAS research and makes it available via a mapping interface. (https://pfaas.ketos.co) While it's well known that long term exposure to PFAS (Per and Poly Fluoro Alkyl Substances) compounds is associated with serious, sometimes fatal health complications, a lesser known fact is that until April 2024, PFAS compounds were not regulated as part of the Clean Water Act (CWA) and the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). Consequently, public utilities in the US were not required to monitor or report PFAS levels. While this situation has changed belatedly and utilities have until 2029 to get their PFAS monitoring and elimination systems in place, several public water systems all over the US have detected significantly elevated PFAS levels in their water. Our PFaaS tool provides a quick self-assessment of your estimated local PFAS risk based on our proprietary PFAS risk models. It's also a great introduction to the power of KETOS PRISM and shows the kind of insights enabled by access to actionable environmental data. At KETOS, we believe that you can't manage what you don't measure. We're releasing our PFAS report and PFAS risk self-assessment tool as a first step in helping utilities, consumers and other businesses get visibility into their PFAS risk.
