Important update of mammary implant testing at INNOPROOF GmbH: We have acquired a BTC-2000 device from S.R.L.I. in order to provide gel material property testing of silicon-gel filled breast implants. The BTC-2000 has a suction unit which is placed on the gel filling after the shell is removed. By applying negative pressure, the gel is expanded into the suction unit, while the height of the aspirated portion is measured by laser tracking. As a result, the parameters "gel cohesivity" (or elastic deformation), "resistance to gel deformation" (or stiffness), and energy absorption are evaluated. It’s very important to be less invasive to insert zygomatic implants and when the implants need to be removed. For this I create in collaboration with ESACROM (Imola, Italy) a new dedicated inserts kit to remove the zygomatic implants in compromised cases. These inserts allow us to design a gap between the bone and the implant useful to separate it. There are many shapes and lengths that each surgeon can choose according to the clinical case. https://lnkd.in/dArgzmUN
